The City Church Work Group of Kaiserslautern extends a sincere welcome to you.

For people who take part only seldom, or not at all, in the traditional events of local congregations, and for those who do not belong to any church, the Protestant Church of the Palatinate in the town centre of Kaiserslautern holds in store a number of new and interesting offers.

The many visitors to our city, also from foreign countries, are the people we have in heart and mind. The home of our City Church Work, from where we present these offers, is our centrally located Gothic Stifts-Kirche (the German name of which infers a "convent church") which dates back as far as the 13th century. Our prime aim is to make both the citizens of our city and our guests feel welcome.

The person in charge of our City Church Work programme is the Protestant Pastor Stefan Bergmann. Together with a team of more than fifty volunteers he is responsible for opening the Church, for the offers of the "Evening Church," for special guided church tours and for our City pastoral care.

  The church must be open to everybody, not only on Sunday mornings. The Protestant Stiftskirche is open every day: for those in need of peace, who are interested in cultureal events, or who are just curious, or whatever attracts people to the church: they are sincerely welcome!
